Matthew takes 3rd

We couldn't have been more proud when we received a letter in the mail announcing Matthew had won 3rd place in a coloring contest at school. The contest was judged throughout the parish against 20 - 25 other students. He was honored by the Veterans of Foreign Affairs at a banquet along with many other students receiving different awards. His teachers Miss Reeves (in picture below) and Mrs. Collins were there as well to see him get his award. It was a special evening!

Easter Egg Hunt FBC Haughton 2009

Train Rides, face painting, egg hunting -- What a fun time the boys had Saturday!! By the looks of their baskets, I'd say the egg hunt was MOST successful!! We hid (scattered) over 5050 eggs -- did I mention that me and another friend were in charge of counting them!! We finally quit clucking a few days ago!! HA!! It was a lot fun for everyone!

Sweet Boy, LOVES to Share!!

Well, when it comes to his pets he LOVES to share!! The other day, Chance had given the boys A WHOLE BAG of animal crackers! Within 5 minutes, they were gone. We were shocked to say the least!! A few minutes later, I went into the laundry room to find this!! No wonder we don't have to worry about her running off -- or getting any further than the porch!! Salley knows she has it made!! This also explains the extra pounds both the dog and cat have put on lately!! He even replaced their food bowls with "cookie bowls"!! He was soooo proud!!

School Days for Matthew!

Matthew had an exciting week in school last week. Miss Reeves was kind enough to share pictures with me!! I thought I would pass them along!! TOO CUTE -- not to share!!

Crazy Hair Day!!

True Colors, or NOT!!!

Today is "CRAZY HAIR DAY" in Matthew's class. He always has wanted green hair AND a mohawk . Today he was granted his wish!! He was beaming with pride all the way to the bus stop. Poor Lane was embarrassed of him and for him. He kept reminding him of ALL the people that they were gonna see on their way to school -- THIS IS NOT SOMETHING LANE WOULD HAVE LIKED!!! On the other hand, it was like pouring fuel on a fire -- Matthew loves attention!!

New Drummer In Town

Last night I was cooking dinner and the boys were all off doing their own thing. Lane had gone to Gram's for the evening and Matthew was in kitchen with me -- we suddenly realized that Noah had gone astray. Now usually this can be a "messy" finding! But someone left Rock Band 2 on and he decided to indulge in the whole "ROCK BAND" experience! He was drumming away -- really getting after it!

Meals On Wheels

I don't if you can see the bowl in Noah's dump truck or not, but he pushed his bowl of eggs around the house ALL evening!! I could think of nothing better to call this than his "meal on wheels"! It is often literally impossible to get him to be still long enough to eat so I figured what the heck -- at least he is eating!!

The 3 Muskateers

I guess it is never to cold for 3 little boys to take a dip in a pond!! Lane had Gary and Taelin over the other day and it was only about 50 degrees outside -- if not colder and before Chance new it, they were half naked and in the pond! They had a ball that day just being BOYS!! Chance took a few pics -- I guess he planned to black mail them with these one day!! HA!!

Halloween 2008

I was away in Dallas with Chance's Gram this year and missed Halloween with the boys. I wasn't even going to post these pictures cause they were so bad, but decided, what the heck, they are are all I have of the night, so ENJOY!! Lane was a baseball player. Matthew was a football player. Noah was a cowboy! I guess you could wonder by the pictures if the photographer (Chance) didn't know what he was doing, or if there were literally ghosts lurking about that night!! SPOOKY!!!

Single Shot

Lane was proud of himself the other day when he cam home with ONE squirrel after spending the afternoon hunting with his Uncle Christian. He had such a good time. He said he missed 2 more. The other boys were just as proud of him!!

HAPPY BRTHDAY NOAH!!!

Today is Noah's 2nd Birthday. We celebrated Friday with a few friends and family. I can't believe he is two years old!! My how time flies!! He had a great time. He put on quite a show for us while he modeled his new boots and cowboy hat!!

Light the Night

Lane and I went to Tyler, Texas this past weekend. We attended the Light the Night walk in honor of my sweet friend Vanessa. What a worthy cause!! We raised about $4000 as a team. This money goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fund research, and also it is used to help patients financially, etc. Lane had such good time, he thinks we outta make it and annual event!! I couldn't agree with him more!! Thanks to all of you that supported me in my efforts to raise money!!
