Brotherly Love

Today, Matthew and I went to have lunch with Lane at school. Matthew was sooo excited. I had warned Matthew about his behavior before we left the house and threatened him within an inch of his life if he wasn't on his BEST behavior. As we were standing in line with the other kids, Matthew looked up at me with big "crocodile size" tears in his eyes and said "my bubby won't give me kisses or hugs!" I looked at Lane and gave him "the look". "I don't think so he said, not in public!" I said "Laaaane, promise you will give him one before we leave." He reluctantly agreed! Matthew was pacified for the time being, but when it was time to go home, he held Lane to his promise, and ran and gave him the biggest hug and kiss right in the middle of the hall! This time Lane didn't object. Hopefully it will be awhile before he refuses to give up those hugs and kisses to his momma!!!

Cherished Moments...

I have many special moments with my kiddos during each and every day. However, I have come to cherish more than anything, the time I spend with them saying their bedtime prayers. Lane, is rather shy, and prefers to give me his prayer requests and have me pray out loud with him. Matthew on the other hand would have it no other way than to do it ALL by himself.

Matthews prayer last night was this:

Dear God,

"Thank you so much for this day and keeping us safe. Lord, I know tomorrow is gonna be a pretty day, but could you put a rainbow in the sky and send some rain with it so me and my brother Lane could ride our 4 wheelers in the mud cause that would be fun. I love you God. Amen."

And then after that, he had a couple other prayers -- including don't let the cows jump over Pop's fence and break it and get out so he doesn't have to catch the cows and fix the fence, take care of Nanna and Gram cause they live by themselves, take care of Lane (he had a headache) so he can get up and go to school tomorrow and take care of mommy and daddy while they drive their cars to work and to take us to school so they don't get in a wreck.

I am proud of ALL my kids, but it just puts a smile on face and skip in my step see Matthew's love and knowledge for the LORD grow in his heart!!!

Just A Swanging

Noah has been sick the last few days with the croup. He has been unusually fussy. Saturday, I was out of things to keep him happy so I decided to try the swing, knowing he had far more than out grown it! Anyway, he was rather pleased with my idea, or he might have been just as amused as I was at the thought he might still be able to fit into it!! It was short live due to his size, but we did have a good laugh -- just the two of us!!

Time Flies

TODAY NOAH IS 10 MONTHS OLD!!!

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE ALL THE TIME GOES -- I SEEM TO HAVE LOST A FEW MONTHS SOMEWHERE!

SWEET LIL ANGEL BABY!

I'M AT IT AGAIN!

AND HE'S OFF......

Me LOVE Cookies...

Noah enjoyed his first take at a chocolate chip cookie with his "Aunt" Tasha the other day. After this, he probably never eat another teething biscuit!!! Can't say I blame him though!

Schools Back In Session

I am a little delayed in posting this blog. School started back full force last Week. Lane is in second grade. He was very excited to get his first pick for a teacher, Mrs. Spinney. I think it is going to be a very exciting year for him. The vast majority of his friends are in his class. Needless to say, Mrs. Spinney is going to need ALL our prayers as 2/3 of the class are boys!!! No doubt she will be able to handle them though!!! Lane is officially a Platt Cowboy!!!

" Now who am I gonna play with all day!!!"

Lane watching a few cartoons before going to school

My BOYS!!!!

We met some friends for breakfast at Sonic on the first day to hopefully suppress any last minute jitters!! They were all moving up to new schools!!
