I'm Back.....

It's been awhile since I have updated. My monitor went out due to a recent thunderstorm. Not much going on in the World Of the Weeks household. I have been busy painting and remodeling Lane's room, of course with the help of 3 lil' guys and Chance.

Matt goes in for his surgery in the a.m. Please pray all goes well and the pain is kept to a minimum afterwards. Of course I will update a.s.a.p!!!

It's a Man Thang.......

Lane has picked up a disgusting new habit --- SPITTING!!!! Matthew has decided to copy him and picked up the habit as well. I can't stand it!!!!! Anyway, this past weekend, I think I spent the vast majority of it telling him to stop!! At the zoo yesterday, Lane looked at me and said, "might as well get use to it, it's just a man thang!" I couldn't help but laugh -- I told him that "it was a "mama thang to not like it, so he might as well get use to the nagging!"

WONDERFUL WEEEKEND!

Chance and I took Lane and Matthew to Dallas this weekend!! What a wonderful time we had.

We Kicked it off eating at Rain forest Cafe. Then we made an "unquick" stop at Cabela's (hunting store). I have to admit, it was pretty neat -- I have learned to like it, with two brothers, a husband that loves or rather, lives to hunt, and now 3 boys. I have just accepted the fact, that malls are not in my future, but Bass Pro Shops and Cabela's and anything that carries hunting stuff is!!! Then we headed off to check in at the hotel and get dressed for the Rangers game!!!

The Rangers lost, only getting two hits!!! As Lane said, "I had a GREAT time, but the game was boring!" And he was right, it was!!! I wanted nothing more than to see Sammy Sosa hit one out! I got great pictures of him --- STRIKING OUT!!! Oh well, as I have said before -- "you can't win 'em all."

Sunday we got up and met some friends, David and Maranda Turner, and their boys Jordan and Dylan for a day at Six Flags!!!! Boy that was fun!!!! I did forget to mention that while at the Rain forest Cafe, we did get to detour through the mall -- we were looking for shoes to hopefully gain some height for Matthew -- appears he was lacking an inch to be able to ride most of the rides at Six Flags -- we did buy some shoes, but unfortunately it wasn't enough!! He only or should I say we only suffered one "meltdown" do the shortness of height!!! (he gets that from his daddy's side of the family!)

Today we headed home, but not before stopping in Tyler Texas at the Caldwell Zoo!! We had a great time and saw lots of neat animals!! And of course before heading out of Tyler, we stopped by and took an "unquick" stop at Gander Mountain (another hunting store).

Noah spent a well deserved "spoiled weekend" with my parents!! They were gracious enough to come love on him while we were away!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time and the boys are already planning their trip back for next year!!!

Happy Birthday To Me!

July 5th was my 29th Birthday!!! WOW!!! I use to think that was old!!!
I bought myself a new camera lens -- however, Chance does goes to work everyday so that I could afford to buy it. He would have gotten it for me, I was just impatient and bought it for myself a week early!!!

He and the boys surprised me with a "scrumptious" birthday dinner. Overcooked fish from Brookshire's and a bag of potato chips!!! DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS????
I didn't think so until I got the "cookie cake" that read "Happy 29th b-day", written in chicken scratch!!!! LOL!!!! Chance said he was afraid to let the guy write "birthday" on it for fear it would say "BIRFDAY"! You can figure that one out for yourself!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

All kidding aside, it was a perfect evening spent with my boys!!!! I wouldn't have changed a thing about it!!

Prayer Works

Today, I made what I thought was going to be a quick stop by Office Depot. I made my purchases, and off to the car I went. I stopped by Sonic to grab lunch for the guys at my shop. Upon returning to the shop, I grabbed my purse to get out of the car -- much to my surprise, it was much lighter than usual!!! Oh my gosh!!!!! My wallet wasn't in it!! It was in my purse when I left Office Depot!!! I didn't use it at Sonic b/c that $ was in my pocket. I threw the food inside and dashed back to the parking lot of Office Depot. I got in my car, said "please Lord, let my wallet still be in the parking lot!" A few moments later, my cell phone rang with the last digits of the # being 6666!!! YIKES!!!! Any way, you won't believe it!!!! Mrs. Janice White from church was calling to let me know that one of the Sheriff's deputies had found my wallet. And yes, you guessed it. It was in the parking lot of Office Depot!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

See, God does answer prayers, no matter how BIG or how SMALL they may seem.

Pea Pickers and Corn Pickers

We had a wonderful day Sunday. We went to my lil' brother Ed's farm and picked corn and black eye peas. Lane and Matthew had a wonderful time. They enjoyed taking a "joy ride" on the BIG TRACTOR with their Uncle Ed. He even let them drive. You can't tell from the pictures, but Noah was along with us. He spent a lot of time in the truck with the a/c running. He has been "under the weather" with an ear ache lately and "wasn't feeling his oats" so to speak.
