PUBERTY

Lane asked me to come into the bathroom the other day while he was bathing -- he LOVES taking long relaxing baths. He gets this from his mother! Anyway, he said he had something private to talk to me about. YIKES! Wasn't sure what I was fixin' to get bombarded with. Anyway, he said, "when I get out of the tub can I put some shaving cream on my face?, I been doing it for it awhile no and it sure makes it smooth!" I said, trying to keeping a straight face,"your not old enough to shave. He said,"I know, I use q-tips to scrape the scream off. I will let you feel my face when I am done!" I said," fine by me just so we are we clear that NO RAZORS till 13 or 14 and dad shows you!!" The next day, the Brandon boys came over EARLY cause their momma had to work -- next thing I know I had 4 boys, Lane, Matthew, Lawson, and Jerry Lee "q-tip" shaving in my bathroom!! And for those of you wondering, Lane did make me feel his face and it was smoooooooth! I don't know that I am ready for this even if it is still a few years away!!!

Waterboy

This is how Noah has entertained himself during the last several baseball practices. He has even picked up on the trick of pouring water over his head to cool himself down. I got a couple good shots of that with a friends camera and will hopefully be able to post them later! Keeping up with him can often be a challenge, but at this practice their was a trail of water and cups to follow!

Haughton Americans

Tonight at practice we had to take a few pics to turn in to the tournament committee of our team. Once again, Noah made sure he was the center of attention!! We will begin our tournament on Thursday at 5:30. We will play against the other Haughton team and then win or lose play again at 8:00. If you are looking for something to to do, come out and support both teams at the Minden Complex Thursday! GO HAUGHTON!!

Outrigger Island

Wow!! What a fun and exciting weeks we ALL had last week at vacation bible school. The kids and adults all had a wonderful time. It is hard to say who had more fun this year. I really liked the island theme. The decorations were a lot of fun as well. I taught arts and crafts again and the kids made some really cute things!!

OH BOY!!

Once Again, Noah enjoyed playing with his trucks and sand buckets. This time at the ball park. I didn't manage to get any pictures of him actually doing it, but here is the after math!! It took lathering his head up 3 times in the stand up shower and I think a 4th would have still done some good but his patience was running thin to get him clean. But OH BOY did he have a ball a the ball park last night.

Lollipop, Lollipop

Noah was the center of attention with his lollipop at Matthew's preschool graduation! He had all the big kids crowded around him for a "show and tell". I am sure this is only a preview of the years to come with his big brothers friends. He had a captive audience as you can tell from the pictures.

Successful Season

Lane had a very successful 2008 spring/summer baseball season. His team the Rangers managed to pull out the season with a 12-1 record. They were in 1st place in their division. We are very proud of Lane for also being awarded the silver bat award for carry the highest on base percentage in his division as well. For those baseball fans that percentage was .937 which if I stand correct, .1000 is the highest.

Circus Day at Preschool

I am behind on my posting, so I am hopefully going to catch you all up over the next several days! This was Circus day at Matthew's preschool. Of course, it was several weeks ago, but the pictures are just to cute not to share. He actually wore this costume when he was 2. I was sure it wouldn't fit, and he was sure it would! He was right! Who would have thought to just pull up the legs and wear different colored "baseball" socks! Duh, Matthew would of course, cause that as he told me -- "that's what ALL clown's do it anyway mom!" He was ready for a show!!
