Light the Night

Lane and I went to Tyler, Texas this past weekend. We attended the Light the Night walk in honor of my sweet friend Vanessa. What a worthy cause!! We raised about $4000 as a team. This money goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help fund research, and also it is used to help patients financially, etc. Lane had such good time, he thinks we outta make it and annual event!! I couldn't agree with him more!! Thanks to all of you that supported me in my efforts to raise money!!

Nope, he's no little girl, but he sure looked cute!! Noah enjoyed every minute of playing dress-up with Kinsley and Brooklyn the other day!! He insisted on having that bow in his hair!!

Where Are This Kids Parents???

Honestly, he is gonna work in some sort of gravel pit or something when he grows up!! First, the kitty litter, and now the sugar bowl!! What a mess!! He was proud of himself though!! I was in the laundry room just around the corner. It doesn't matter though, it doesn't take him but a second to destruct!! He loves to mix things, he enjoys taking the cat food and dog food and mixing them in their water bowls also!!

And this would be why..........

Yesterday, around 4:30 in the afternoon Lane came barreling inside and claimed he HAD to take a bath before going to the football game!! I protested to just wash off and not take a bath. Of course I had my reasons -- he of course when against my wishes. When I heard the bath water running, I of course went into the bathroom and proceeded to give him a LARGE piece of my mind on how he NEVER listens and ALWAYS does what he wants to do. While I was giving my short lecture, Noah did exactly what I knew, (this would be my reason for not wanting a 4:30 bath session) he was going to do. He only forgot to do one thing -- see if you can figure it out(see picture)!! Needless to say, Lane's lecture was really brief thanks to Noah so I could get my camera and capture the ever so funny moment!! See around my house, when one boy bathes, they ALL seem to have to bathe and I wasn't wanting to have to do it double time yesterday evening. As you can tell though, I did it anyway. Noah was VERY proud of himsef!! He laughed hysterically outloud!!

Lane was thrilled to have his lil' buddy riding with him this morning -- Seriously!!

Yesterday was a success!! Matthew loves kindergarten!! Well, at least he does so far! His favorite thing he did was eat -- in the cafeteria! HA!! I am sure there will be others, but for the first day, that was the big hit!! Today, I am sure it will be riding the school bus, or as we called it growing up, cheese mobile, or yellow hound!! None the less, he was up an at 'em at 5:45 a.m. this morning. Did I mention he was so tired he went to sleep at 7:00 last night after sending his little friend Alyssa home from playing because he was so tired after his first day!! Had I not known better, I would have sworn he was sick! I know she surely thought he was sick in the head, not wanting to play!! Here are some pictures to the marked morning. This day was much more difficult for me than yesterday -- something about giving them that independence!! Hard for me to let go of that I guess!! So Matthew, to answer you question, "did I cry?", there were few tears yesterday, but many tears today as I watched you step onto that bus like a big boy!!

And He's Off....

Well, the day finally came!! Matthew started kindergarten today! It is a day of excitement of joy and yes, I must admit, a few tears!! I can hardly believe he is already going to school!! He is thrilled to say the least. He told me this morning -- "I am so excited, I might just pee in my pants!" Ha! He is something else I tell ya. He asked me if I was glad he wasn't gonna be "left out" anymore? Meaning that he had been left out all last week cause Lane had been in school and he had still been stuck at home -- for lack of a better word "torturing" me!! Noah bless his heart will have to adjust now -- he still wants to know "where -my Matt"? All the way home from dropping him off it was Matt, Matt, Matt. Tomorrow he will be riding the bus with big brother Lane so stay tuned for more photos and probably a few more tears as I let go of one more of my babies!!
