I don't have any pictures of this to post, but Noah is 11 months old -- not walking, but definitely climbing!!! Yesterday alone, I found him in a chair (child's recliner), on my dishwasher door, on the weight bench, and standing on the stool in his room holding onto the diaper hamper!! For my sake (and his safety), I hope he forgoes the walking a bit longer!!!

A New Brother in Christ
Chance and I were very proud of Lane today as he announced to the church his acceptance of Jesus into his heart this past week. It was a very special and marked moment for Chance and I as parents. Something we anxiously await for as Matthew and Noah grow up as well. As Lane put it, one down and two to go! Matthew is excited about being able to see Lane get "babitized" in the upcoming weeks.
"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 19:14

Words From My Children
This morning, I was getting Matthew dressed for school. He was standing on my bed and lost his balance and fell backwards. He laughed and said, "Momma, I can't stand up good cause I don't have a perch!"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matthew, as most of you know, knows EVERYTHING. His new thing to say about something is "You know how I know that? ---Cause my brain told me."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had spent the better part of my day Thursday picking up the house -- I had piled things into two baskets, one for Lane's room and one for Matthew's room. When the boys got home I said, very generously, that if they would HELP me unload the baskets in their rooms and correctly put the stuff away, I would pay each of them $3.00. Matthew and I quickly got his done and I moved on to Lane's room -- we got two or three items put away and he said, "I am gonna go in here and do this (can't remember what it was exactly), when you get done putting those things away, just set my $3.00 on my bed!" I couldn't help but laugh, cause he was serious! Chance says he would make a very good spoiled rich child -- Sorry for him that doesn't look to be a very promising future!

Matthew Moves Up.....
"Oh yeaaaah Baaabee', I get to go to Mrs. Sharon's class today!"
Matthew shows Mrs. Sharon that he can do the magnets.
Matthew cheered these words on our way out the door yesterday. He is still going to the same daycare/preschool he has always gone to , but this year he is the BIG MAN ON CAMPUS. When I picked him yesterday afternoon, Miss Marlene, the director, told me she felt sure Matthew would work out as a substitute if any teachers has to be away. Seems he spent most of his day keeping everyone (all the kiddos) in line. Telling them all the the rules, you know like which bathroom to use, how to walk in line, whether you should be talking or not. I am hoping they will consider paying him to go there instead of me having to pay!!! HAHAHAHA He is very excited to have his "bestest" friend, Jaycie Keith, and Adrienne Vickers joining him this year. According to him, he took good care of them yesterday and is thrilled to have them there! Here's to a great year.
I asked Matthew what he learned at preschool he said, "um, nuttin', cause I already knowed everysang"! That was a typical Matthew answer, but it sounds like he has ALOT to learn!!!Posted by Beth at 9/05/2007 1 comments

Now Try This.....
This recipe was given to me by a friend. It is absolutely wonderful and extremely easy. It can be prepared in just few minutes.
Crawfish Bisque
2 Cans Cream of Potato Soup
2 Cans Cream Style Corn
1 Package Crawfish Tails (thawed and drained)
1 Package Season Blend (onions and bell peppers)
1 Cup Milk
1 Pint Half and Half
1 Stick butter or margarine
Tony's Seasoning
Saute season blend, butter and Tony's seasoning. Add crawfish tails and cook on medium an additional 5-10 minutes. Add in soups, corn, milk, and half and half. Heat till bubbly. I like to prepare this early in the day. It gives it more time to thicken before serving. Enjoy!!
I usually serve this garlic bread. If you don't like crawfish, I am sure shrimp would be wonderful and work as well.
